Dear Sir:

I am writing to you on behalf of the World Rainforest Movement. The WRM is a global network of citizens' groups of North and South involved in efforts to defend the world's rainforests against the forces that destroy them. It works to secure the lands and livelihoods of forest peoples and supports their efforts to defend the forests from commercial logging, dams, mining, plantations, shrimp farms, colonisation and settlement and other projects that threaten them.

I am addressing you to express our deep disagree with FOX for what it has done in the Maya Beach in Krabi's Phi Phi Islands national park for shooting the film "The Beach". We would also want to express our regret for what happened and we ask FOX to accept responsibility.

In addition, we would like to express solidarity and support for the plaintiffs in the ongoing lawsuit. FOX should not use delaying tactics in the Thai trial, but should TELL THE TRUTH and take full responsibility for your illicit activities in the next court hearing scheduled in March.

We are also supporting the International Boycott Campaign against the film.
