Le puissant
groupe français Bolloré cherche à intimider
des journalistes et les médias afin de les décourager
d'informer sur les impacts de ses plantations au Cameroun. Avec
cet objectif, le groupe a décidé de porté
plainte de diffamation
contre eux devant la justice.

toutes les informations disponibles sur cette question dans
le but d'aider à protéger la liberté de
la presse et d'informer le public sur les impacts sociaux et
environnementaux dont ce groupe est responsable au Cameroun. |

Attempting
to criminalize the press: The Case of the French transnational
group Bolloré in Cameroon
The powerful
French Bolloré Group is trying to intimidate journalists
and the media in order to prevent them from informing about
the impacts of its plantations in Cameroon. With that aim, it
has decided to present charges against them in court, under
the accusation of defamation.
In this section we have
put together all the available information on this issue, as
a means of helping to protect press freedom and for informing
the public about the social and environmental impacts for which
this group is responsible in Cameroon.
