WRM Special Bulletin Nº 85 - August 2004 (complete version here)

Large-scale agriculture and cattle-raising are activities which impact heavily on the world's forests and on their peoples, particularly in tropical and sub-tropical regions. However, in spite of the fact that those activities are continuously expanding, they are receiving much less attention than in the past. For this reason, we have focused the present bulletin on both, with the aim of raising awareness about the different issues and actors involved in order to create conditions for change.
