Lutas pelas florestas
Quando as empresas destroem florestas ou restringem – e até proíbem – o acesso de povos e populações a seus territórios, colocam-se em risco o modo de vida e até mesmo a existência das comunidades. O WRM apoia as lutas dos povos da floresta em defesa de seus territórios e pelo direito de decidir como viver e usar as florestas das quais dependem.

(Apenas em inglês) On October 28th, thousands of residents from Sagea, Gemaf and other villages on the island of Halmahera entered in shock with security forces when they occupied the installatioins of PT IWIP (Industrial Weda Bay Industrial Park) to protest against the company´s nickel mining activities that are destroying their land.
