In the context of the recent UN climate conference in Dubai, we propose to re-read the article Climatology / Ideology, from the WRM Bulletin 247, published in January 2020. This article helps us understand that the timid and more than belated mention of fossil fuels in the conference’s final text does not represent any form of hope, inasmuch as the preponderance of an extremely reductionist view of the climate problem in this space remains unchanged.
